Amelia is Three!!!

Our sweet Amelia turned three!  I still find it hard to believe that she is already three.  I feel like time with her is going extra fast.  She is still sweet and loving but has quite the sassy and feisty side to her also.  She loves to do whatever her brothers are doing but also enjoys her playtime by herself.  She is very into babies, jewelry, dressing up, and cooking in her play kitchen.  She is also rough and tumbly and wrestles with the boys, climbs everything, and has recently started doing flips on the swing set!  It makes me nervous but to be honest the kiddo has it down.   She has become our early riser and is usually the first one up in the morning.  Sometimes she lays in her bed and says "mommmmmmy or daddddddy" and says it over and over until one of us comes in her room and gets her.  Other mornings she just comes in our room all cheerful and smiley.  She enjoys watching shows: Masha and the Bear, Sophia, and recently Phineas and Ferb.  She also likes playing Disney Infinity with her brothers.
Amelia is 38.25 inches long and weighs 33lbs.  She wears 3T to 4T clothing and a size 10 to 10.5 shoe!  Everyone thinks she is much older usually guessing she is four.  I think it has a lot to do with the fact that she is tall and her vocabulary is so vast compared to some kids her same age.  Amelia has been potty trained for a few months now.  We worked hard on it during the month of July/August so she could start preschool.  She still wears a diaper at night but it is so nice to have her all set during the day.
Amelia is a snacker.  She loves to snack on food all day long.  It takes a lot of convincing to get her to finish a full meal some days.  She will eat a little breakfast and 10 minutes later ask for a snack.  It drives us crazy, ha!  She loves anything sweet, cheese, crackers, avocado, and apples.  Anytime we go to Subway she doesn't care too much about a sandwich but I better not forget to get her some avocado.  She will also ask for "Somfing healfy"  This is her way of trying to get a snack instead of eating what she is given.
Amelia seems to enjoy going to school and is pretty independent. She thinks she is capable of doing a lot by herself.  Which I love...but it also makes me crazy.  We love our baby girl with every bit of our hearts and are excited to see what she accomplishes as a big three year old!
Her birthday landed on a Monday and Chris and I both took the day off.  We got everyone ready for the day and then let her open presents before Liam headed off to school.
She was very ready and very excited!
Waiting patiently
Opening gifts
She was pretty pumped
Checking out her new jewelry box
She was happy with her new Minnie Mouse purse, jewelry box, and a frozen karaoke machine.
We took Liam to school and went to Cracker Barrel with Great Grandma and her friend Millie.  After that it was some birthday money shopping were she picked out a baby doll.  Then we took the kids to the park and let them run.
Crazy kid with her silly face.
Then she showed her sweet side.
After a very busy morning we came home and relaxed. Later that night we went to Chili's for dinner as the birthday gal requested and G&G Casson joined us.  She had a pretty awesome day!

Colin is 5!!!

Hard to believe this sweet boy of mine is five years old!  Just a few short years ago I was holding my sweet boy in the wee hours of the early morning and fell in love all over again with my second angel baby.  You are my sweet, loving, passionate, and comical little guy.  Sometimes the funniest things come out of your mouth and you don't even realize it.  You have always been my little cuddler and don't mind your mom time.  You are  42.5 inches tall and weigh 44lbs.  You currently wear 5T clothing and shoe size of 12.
You are a huge animal- and bug-lover (even if an ant bit your toe the day I write this).  You love to go outside and see if there are any bugs to catch.  Every summer when the little bug catchers come out at the store you beg to have a new one.  You love animals, too, and were thrilled to get your tortoise Leo. When we go to a zoo you are the one who is ready to leave last so you can soak up every second.  Your favorite shows are Planet Earth, Lego Ninjago, Octonauts, Inspector Gadget, and anything your big brother watches.  You are the best brother.  You enjoy playing legos and wrestling with your big brother but you are always willing to play picnics or mom/dad with your baby sister. You are smart and remember random little facts that people share with you.  You like to repeat it and teach me new things.  Your favorite foods are sloppy joes, strawberries, and cheeseburgers.  You are not too picky when it comes to eating (even if vegetables aren't your favorites) and are eating like a champ right now.  We're pretty sure you have growth spurt happening!  You, my sweet boy, have your moments of stubborness and you wear your every feeling on your sleeve.  You are amazing in so many ways and I am so excited to see watch you grow and to see where life takes you.
Liam had school on Colin's birthday so I woke up early and made pancakes for everyone.
We quickly got everyone ready so Colin could open some presents
Amelia sat semi-patiently asking to open presents, and, being the sweet brother Colin is, he let her open one of his gifts.  She was a very happy girl and Colin watched her open his gift with excitement.

My sweet 5 year old!
He made sure to read the card and is often tickled by the funny ones.
Colin is very into power rangers so he got a power ranger and a batman boat to start.
He opened up some Lego Ninjago books
He was pretty excited about it.
Then he opened the big present from mom and dad.  He started out slowly but as he realized it was something he wanted his face lit up and he ripped the paper even quicker.
So much excitement over his lego set
He said "I'm doing my hand like a lego guy"
We dropped Liam off at school, the tortoise at the vets office, and then went to the store so Colin could spend some of his birthday money.  Once he got home he went straight to work on his new lego set.
I have never seen him so focused on a lego set as he was on his birthday.
He went to lunch with G&G Casson and watched some of his favorite shows, had soccer practice, and per his request we ordered Crackle Barrel and picked it up and brought it home to eat.  After dinner we invited the neighbors and the Snay side over for some cupcakes.
We sang to him and he had a great day.

Finally meeting my sweet baby boy.  It was a special moment in the early morning, just you, me, and daddy.

Amelia is 2.5 Years Old!

Amelia turned 2 1/2 years old on 4/16/16!  I can't believe my last little baby is already so big!  She is sweet, loving, cuddly at times, sassy, and cute.  Amelia loves to do anything and everything her brothers do.  She loves to be outside and ride her scooter, loves playing with her babies, and likes to pretend cook and set picnics up in her room.  Some days she is a girly girly and wants to dress up, do her hair, and paint her nails, then other times she is filthy and refuses to brush her hair.
Amelia enjoys watching shows here and there.  She is content watching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers right now with her brothers, as that is their current obsession.  When it is her to pick a show it is always something different.  Some of the most common shows are Goldie and Bear, Super Why, Pocoyo, & Sophia.  She is good at playing by herself but eventually silence sets in which means some type of mischievous behavior may be occurring.  She likes to think she is very independent and will attempt to do most things herself.
She is usually a very happy little lady but when she is tired the ultimate breakdown can happen.  She likes to tell us at various times during the day, "I wreally like you"  or we will be driving in the car and will say "mom, I wreally like you."  Here are a couple other things she has said recently:
1. If you tell her she is being cranky she says "I not cranky, I happy!"
2. One day she tooted and said "I burped in my butt."
3. At Liam's baseball game she was sitting on grandpa and pushed on his belly and said "That's a big belly!"
She cracks me up.
She's an active gal.
Amelia loves avocado, broccoli with ranch dip (or anything else with ranch dip), berries, and anything with sugar, ha!  She is constantly getting in trouble for setting a stool up against the counter to try and reach a piece of candy.  She thinks she is sneaky. She also only wants snacks and no real food lately.  I can't wait for that particular phase to be over.
Amelia is probably our best sleeper.  She goes to her bed and lays down.  She doesn't attempt to get up and goes down for naps easily too.  It is SO nice!
She wears a 2T in some things but a 3T for most things.  Her shoe size is a 9.5. She is currently 3'1" tall and weights 30.8lbs.
She loves her brothers and is always so excited when they get home and they are reunited on the boys' school days.  She is full of life and we just LOVE her to pieces!

Christmas Eve Evening

First a couple funny things that happened in December...
1.  Amelia and I had gone to Maurices to get a last minute gift that Sadie wanted for Christmas.  While we were there she discovered a purse.  I told her no a few times and when we went to leave she still had a firm grip on it.  I told her no one more time and she looked up at me with her little blue eyes and her cute little voice and said "but momma I wuv it"  Needless to say she got the purse that day.
2. When Amelia is cranky we tell her "you're cranky" then she will say "I not cranky, I Amelia!"  or "I happy." Well one day Colin was being a little cranky and Amelia says "Colin's cranky, I not cranky, I happy!"  She cracks me up some days.

After our morning and early afternoon business we came home and relaxed.  We had some dinner and then made some cookies for Santa.  All the kiddos decorate cookies and had a great time.  We probably should have decorated before we bathed them, ha!
This girl liked to lick the frosting

Sweet boy was attempting some pictures on the cookies for Santa.
Then he wrote the note to Santa on his plate
Quick evening snack
Cookies, Carrots, and milk is ready!
Then we sprinkled the lawn with reindeer food Colin made at school.
It was wet and cold, Liam grabbed my boots, ha!
Sweet gal
Tracking Santa to see how quickly we needed to get to bed.
Then the Christmas Eve tradition carried on of opening a book before bed.
Liam got "It was the Night Before Christmas: A Brick Story"  It was illustrated as Legos and he loved it.
Colin got Lego City "Save this Christmas"
and Amelia got "Christmas in the Castle" various Disney princess Christmas stories
We had our warm fire and read the new books
Christmas Eve is my favorite.  I love the anticipation of it all.
After books the kiddos checked the Santa tracker one last time and it was time for bed.
Chris and I stayed up watching a Christmas movie and wrapping presents which I love.
Then we finished up and went to bed.
Santa came!
