Dino 1st Birthday Party!

Saturday we celebrated Liam's 1st Birthday!  I can't believe my baby is going to be one, but more about that on his actual birthday post.  No tears yet!  Liam's birthday was a success and he had a great time.  We greatly appreciate all those who came and the wonderful gifts for Liam.
Here are a few of the guests....
 Tim, Alex, and Nico.
Ghani, Laith, Maggie, Tammy, and Matt
Liam began opening his presents.  Here he is with a book from Tim and Alex.
Liam and Noah taking care of business
Lovin' on his cow from Great Grandma.
Checking out his new whale bank from Mindy and Randy.
Ripping is wrapping paper.
Noah and Liam working on getting all the paper off the box. They were adorable.
Then we sang Happy Birthday
He placed a few fingers in his cake but only ate a little bite that was handed to him.  I think he wanted to go play more than he wanted to eat cake.
Nico captured this AMAZING shot. I LOVE it!
Tim and Alex saying good bye to Liam.  They had two one-year old birthdays to attend as well as a babysitting job!
Liam and Noah
They had a blast on this thing
Anderson enjoyed watching from the sidelines in the bumbo.

I failed miserably at getting a picture of Liam with Nico!  I tried to get pictures as everyone left, but Nico never left because he was staying with us!  We did get a few photos later in the weekend and I will post those another day!  Again, thanks to all you wonderful friends and family that made Liam's 1st birthday party so great!

Gymboree

Chris likes to put Liam's Halloween basket on his head and call him a Pumpkin Soldier
He looks cute.
On Friday night we took Liam to open gym at Gymboree, normally I take him Mondays and Thursdays but Monday was a bad day for Liam.  It actually worked out great because it gave Chris the opportunity to come check out the place and run around with Liam.
He loves this place.  He gets to run free and see all sorts of other kiddos.
Climb on everything
Play with balls
Liam heading up the slide.
Walking with daddy
Going through a tunnel
Chilling
I know this one is blurry but I love his little mischievous face.
On Saturday I was in the kitchen and when I poked my head out to check on the boy, he looked like this...
...sitting in his toy box with all his toys reading a book.
Lastly, here is a little video of Liam sitting in his toy bin reading.  He was a little distracted because I was sitting right there.  Enjoy!

A Day at the Zoo

On Sunday we decided to go to the zoo because it was such a lovely day. Here are Liam and Daddy checking out the goats at the kids' zoo.
Then we headed over to check out the lions.
The cubs are no longer babies but more like teenagers.
Daddy lion
Eventually, the dad woke up and let out a roar. The other lions just looked up at him without moving.

Next was the Orangutan
This panda wanted inside, we eventually headed inside and right when we did they let this guy in for his snacks. It was fun to watch.
Red pandas, because they are cute.
Otters because they are awesome.
We brought Liam's walker to the zoo and eventually he used it to cruise around.
This cheetah was eyeing Liam BIG time. Even a guy standing next to me said something to the effect of "man that cheetah wants that baby" That is when Chris brought Liam up close to the fence to torture the cheetah.

Finally, we saw Mane Wolves, which rarely happens because they never seem to be in sight when we visit but the zookeeper was out giving them snacks. The first time I saw one of them was when Matt was here and spotted it, shocker I know.
We had a great day at the zoo and they are starting to set up for Zoolights which thrills me! I can't wait. I have wanted to go every year we have been here, but the first year snow interfered, and last year we had Liam who was much too small to be out in the cold. This year is the year!I leave you with a few pictures of Liam's new tricks.
Such a daredevil.
He had a pretty miserable moment last night. He woke up around 11PM screaming and super upset. We gave him some Tylenol, Orajel, and a bottle, but he did not get back to sleep until about Midnight. He had a few moments today but seems a little better this evening. I hope those new chompers make their appearance soon!
