Megan Comes to Town!

Megan came to visit us this past weekend.  It was pretty uneventful because poor Megs was sick the minute she got off her flight late Saturday night.  She got a call later that evening that little Patrick was also sick.  She originally was hoping to blame airport food.  Anyway, Sunday afternoon she felt slightly better so we took her by the MLK Jr. memorial and then sat in the grass in front of the Lincoln memorial.  Liam is the tiny red speck.
Running free in the grass.
We basically stayed around the house and just hung out, which was really great!  On Tuesday Megs was finally feeling a little better and even got up with Liam which was awesome because it allowed me to sleep in a little!  Liam had his appointment with the orthopedic specialist the same day.  It was good news; she said that Liam had a mild case of bow-leggedness aka tibial torsion.  She said that in 99.9% of cases it will resolve by age 7 and if it doesn't they still won't do anything unless it affects his walking, riding a bike, or driving later in life.  She said it occurred most likely in-utero because he sat Indian style.
Later that evening we went out to eat and then to Old Town to walk around.

Me, Liam, and Megs.  As you can tell Liam really wanted down so he could run.

We are so glad Megan came to visit, it was really wonderful having her here.  We miss her already and hope to see her again soon!
