Colin is 2.5 Years Old

Colin is a two and a half year old as of Tuesday 2/17!  He is really a great kid, sweet, loving, and a funny boy.  Don't get me wrong he has his moments of being a "two year old."  Colin is really into construction sites which is any place with any type of construction vehicle.  He also likes to point out construction sites when we are driving around town.  His other favorite thing to do is play superheroes.  He is usually Ironman and he likes to play "Hulk Smash" which is where daddy has to play Hulk and is repeatedly escorted to bad guy jail.

Colin enjoys watching many different shows.  I can't pinpoint a favorite for him.  He likes Curious George, Wild Kratts, and Rescue Bots to name a few.  Colin has always been pretty good about playing by himself and enjoys entertaining himself.  He will look at books, put out pretend fires, play cars, but his favorite thing to do is pretend to be a puppy dog.

He's usually a happy little guy.  His speech is super clear anymore and he is becoming such a big guy.  He has some funny little phrases he says lately. One he has been saying a lot lately is "Oh my goodness"  It cracks us up.  When he gets in trouble and has to go to his room he will holler out "I wanna be happy".  We have no idea where that one came from.  I just let him know we want him to be happy too.  When Liam and him are playing and Liam does something that Colin disapproves of he will say "Don't ever do that again!"

He loves to play outside and really enjoys his water table and playing with the water squirters.

Colin's favorite foods are bananas, cereal, mac n' cheese, dino chicken, fig newtons, yogurt, and fruit snacks.  He is really in a phase where he only wants junk food or he won't eat and it's lovely, ha!  He is awesome about drinking water though and always has his water bottle close by during the day.  Naps are still a struggle with him unless someone rocks him to sleep, which I don't mind but if Amelia is still awake it makes it a little difficult.  He goes to bed no problem at night but has been waking up in the middle of the night the past couple months, usually he goes right back to sleep but needs daddy to come in and see him before he'll go back down.  Colin wears a 2T-3T depending on brand and a size 8.5-9 shoe.  He is currently 36 1/4 inches tall and weighs 32.2lbs. 

Colin loves his brother and sister.  He misses Liam when he is at school but still enjoys hanging with his momma.  He also loves to come say Hi to Amelia in the mornings and likes to hold her.  Here he is on his 2.5year old birthday at Amelia's four month appointment.

He tried the potty Feb. 3rd.  He said he had to go potty so we put him on the potty.  He went a teeny tiny bit and then about three minutes later peed on the floor.  I am just hoping to get the idea in his head and hope to really go full force on the potty training thing come April.
