Liam's Trip to Ohio!

This weekend we headed to Ohio so Liam could meet some more family members.  We left Friday night and made our arrival at Aunt Sharon and Uncle Don's at about 2 AM.  On Saturday we relaxed a little and then headed to my cousin Laura's basketball game. I failed to get any pictures of Laura playing basketball, maybe because Liam was a little freaked out about the buzzer and some loudly cheering fans.  Eventually, he did fall asleep with his cousin Kara.

 After the game we headed back to the little town of Willard where my family lives and went out to eat.  At the restaurant we met up with cousin Emma, Aunt Suzanne, Uncle Jon, and Grandma.  Then we headed over to Grandma's to do some visiting.

The next day we went to church with Grandma and it was a whopping 8 degrees outside!!  It did warm up a little but that's how cold it was when we woke up!  Anyway, during church Liam woke up and was very happy; then right before the sermon started Liam decided to have a poop explosion!  There was a little boy in front of us who heard Liam and I know he wanted to laugh but held back.  Anyway, Chris took him, changed him, and let him get a little energy out. Later that afternoon we went to the hospital to see Grandpa, who just turned 90 in December.  He has basically been in the hospital since Liam was born and is in a rehab part of the hospital right now.  He was extremely excited to meet Liam.

We stayed to visited for a few hours and played cards in the lobby.  Just so everyone knows Chris lost! Then we headed to Aunt Suzanne's, ate pizza, and played Apples to Apples [and just so everyone knows, Chris won].

The next morning we said our good-byes to Sharon, Don, Eric, and Laura and headed to Grandma's so she could see Liam a little more.  It was great because he was in the best mood and gave her all sorts of smiles. Then we headed back to VA and Liam did great on his travels again.

On Tuesday I took Liam in to the pediatric office because over the weekend his little belly button had a little blood.  Previously he has had a little nub on his belly button but it went away or looked better here and there so I wasn't too worried and was just going to wait until his 2 month follow up, but the bleeding changed that.  Anyway, our boy is a CHAMP.  It was just a little thing left over from the umbilical cord and they had to cauterize it.  Liam wasn't even phased by it and continued to kick and smile. It fell off later that evening.  This makes me feel a little better about the shots he will encounter next week!
