Sledding!

It continued to snow through the evening New Year's Eve so there was plenty of snow to enjoy on the first day of the New Year.  Usually in Kingman if it snows it melts within a day but not this time!
I wanted to take the boys to the green bowl to sled (basically a grassy area used for drainage system during rain storms) The roads were still pretty icy though and we weren't sure about driving on them.  We played in the backyard for a little bit and eventually the sun came out and melted some ice on the roads so we did go sledding too.
Boys in the backyard.
Love this one!
Daddy pulling them on the sled
Here's a little clip of the boys. Colin was saying "go daddy go"
Sweet Amelia bundled up
Liam making a snow angel
The boys started to get tired in the backyard so we loaded up to go sledding.  Here was a little picture of the mountains by the railroad tracks. The picture really doesn't do it justice.  It was beautiful!
There were lots of people at the green bowl but plenty of room for everyone
Grandma pushing Chris, Colin, and Liam
Liam was having a blast and started going up and down all by himself on an inner-tube
He even got fancy and went head first
Momma and Colin
Aunt Sadie
Amelia was hanging out with us for a little bit.  She then needed a diaper change and a feeding.  After that she and Grandma Snay hung out in the car together.
Here's everyone going down at the same time
Daddy and Colin
He says "lets do it again" at the end.  He was having a blast
The boys
Beau and Macy joined us and brought this big sled.  The boys liked it.
Liam going by himself.
My mom and me
Colin and Grandma Casson attempting a snowman.  The snow was so fluffy it was hard to pack it.
Liam was soaked at this point so Chris stripped him, put a blanket around him, and let him sit in the front seat with the seat warmer on.  He hung out with Grandma Snay too.
While Colin played with Grandma Casson, Chris and I went to the other side of the bowl (where the hill is a bit steeper)  We got a video of Sadie and Macy going down
and then Chris and I went down together one time.

Then we went over to G&G Snay's and had some hot chocolate and lunch.
Grandma and Amelia hanging out.
We had such a fun time sledding and I am so glad the snow hung out long enough for us to enjoy it!
On Friday the Lewis clan was driving through to Vegas.  Beth met Amelia for the first time.
and the rest of the kiddos played.
They had a great time together and it was so nice seeing them even for just a minute!
That evening we went to Chili's for dinner.  We had to bribe Liam by telling him we'd let him play games on a phone if he got bored because when we first asked him where he wanted to go eat he said Sonic and we didn't really feel like fast food.   Anyway, sweet Amelia fell asleep in her daddy's arms like this...
Such a sweet little gal.
