T-Ball

Tuesday, February 24th Liam had his first ever T-ball practice.  He was so excited.  He had been talking about it for weeks.  Great Grandma Bradley took Liam shopping for some baseball shoes a few weeks ago and he got a baseball glove.  He even took them to show and tell at school.  So when the day arrived he was ready to get started.
They started by running bases.
It was freezing cold so I stayed bundled up with Amelia and Chris took some pictures
Neely running bases.  So nice to have them on the same team.
They attempted some grounders
And threw the ball back to the coach
Colin bundled up (eventually we headed to the car since it was so cold)
Liam did great for his first day!
So a few things that shocked me
1.  Apparently snacks are not just for game days.  Snacks happen at every practice!
2.  The second practice the kids never even got to touch a ball.  They learned lead offs which made zero sense since they can't steal--or even lead off--in t-ball.
3.  He started to let the kids hit off the tee and let about three kids go and then quit and just let them run around the bases.  Not sure what happened there.
I am hoping the rest of the practices will be better than the second and the kids will be able to have fun and learn some fundamentals!
