Kids Triathlon

August 8th was the annual kids triathlon.  We had to wake all the kiddos up to get them to the race.

Here are the boys ready to go.

Amelia was tired but happy to watch her brothers.

Colin was up first and had a rough start.  He stuttered when he went to jump in the water and was mad that he fell in.  He screamed and cried the whole length of the pool because he wanted to jump in again but Chris didn't figure out that is what he wanted until they were half way down the length of the pool.

Then Colin was off to the races on his bike.  He did great until Kristy was leading him on which way to go and he kept yelling "I can't go that fast!" I had to explain he didn't have to go fast and she was just showing him which way to go.

Liam did awesome even though I missed his swim. He jumped right in and swam the length of the pool as fast as he could.

And was happy the whole race

Colin did well with his run and stopped halfway to get some water.

The whole race was minion themed.  There were minion cookies, minion cupcakes, and minion medals.

Tired gal soaking it all in.  It's weird to think that next year she will be able to do this!

After the race G&G Casson came with us and we had breakfast at Cracker Barrel

The boys enjoyed breakfast and seemed to have a good morning.  

Can't wait for next year!
