Heritage Zoo

Sunday we went to the Heritage Zoo in Prescott.  It is mainly a zoo native to Arizona animals but it had a few others in the mix, like a Tiger, Wallaby, and some Tamarins.  When we first walked in we were greeted by this beautiful guy.
Then we saw this big guy
They had the cutest baby black bear
Colin got his picture with him :)
We saw Antelope, Coyotes, Javelina, Snakes, and lots of lizards that were just hanging out, not in a cage.
Daddy and Liam heading back from seeing some Tortoises.
This little guy did his best to stay awake but ultimately crashed because he was exhausted!
We made our way over to the kids' zoo which had goats, pigs, donkeys, and sheep.  We checked the animals out and then Liam wanted to play in the giant sandbox.
Another little girl joined in on the fun and they played together.  Colin woke up and a kind lady took a family photo for us.
At the front of the zoo there was a playground and a splash pad.  It was a good thing we saved it for the end because these two boys LOVED it and were soaked!
I love the happy expression on this boys face!
Liam was doing some high kicks.
The boys were soaked and required outfit changes but they loved every minute of it!  I told Chris I want a splash pad in our backyard!  He just looked at me like I was crazy.  Once they were dry Liam wanted to play at the playground.  There was another little boy and Liam was pretending to be a bear with him.  It is so neat to watch his imagination expand.
Colin hung out with me and drank a bottle.  We had such a good time at this quaint little zoo.  Then we ate some lunch and hit up Costco.  It was a lovely weekend in Prescott!
