We had a wonderful weekend in Prescott. We traveled Friday night so we could jump right in on Saturday morning, which we did. First we went to check out the Farmer's Market at the Yavapai College campus. It was really nice.
For Mother's Day a hippie charter school was putting on a pot painting activity for the kiddos. Liam painted his and was able to plant a Marigold in it too.
After the Farmer's Market we walked around Yavapai's campus since Chris and I were convinced it was completely different. Then we went downtown to a car show and an art festival. We originally weren't going to go to the car show but Chris spotted an old firetruck and seconds later so did Liam.
The boys by the firetruck
After we checked out the firetruck, we looked around at some of the booths at the art festival, then found a cool little pizza joint and ate. After lunch we found a sweet little spot in the grass to let the boys run around and play. Liam really enjoys doing new little tricks/things and then telling us "Do this" so we copy him. This is what he wanted me to do while we were hanging out.
Daddy did some flips with him
Colin was just happy to not be strapped into a car seat or a stroller!
The grass was pretty wet and Colin's little feet were filthy by the time we were done hanging out.
Liam found another little boy and they played chase/hide & seek around the tree. On a side note anytime Liam sees another kiddo, he immediately calls them his friend. He usually will say something like "I want to go say Hi to my friend" and then he usually goes up to them and really does say Hi.

Where we were sitting there was a water fountain. I asked Liam if he want to to make a wish and throw a penny in, which of course he did. Later when we were running around he heard some money in his pocket jingling. He had bought a cookie at the Farmer's Market and had 50 cents in change. Anyway, when he realized he had money he stopped right away and said "I have monies!" Then got out his quarters and went directly back to the water fountain. It was cute.
The boys slept in the car and Chris and I cruised around various neighborhoods checking out the city of Prescott to see how we liked it. Eventually, I was getting tired and we decided to get everyone back to the hotel for a nap. It completely backfired. Liam woke up and wouldn't go back to sleep. Instead we all got up and went to the Highland Games. It was a basically Scottish folk games. (Ex: Hammer throw, caber toss) When we arrived the competitions were over but there is still nothing sexier than overweight men in kilts so we enjoyed people watching and were able to listen to some bag pipes.

Chris started throwing the boys in the air and Liam was loving it!
Colin thought it was pretty cool too!
I still don't know why blogger and youtube are not allowing my videos to load but here is a little video of Liam doing some dancing to the bag pipes.

We left and went to Target because I failed to bring a hairbrush and pack Liam some socks. So we needed to get those items before Sunday. Originally Chris and I decided we were not going to eat at any chain restaurants but then later decided that Texas Roadhouse sounded too good to pass up. While we were there Liam had his hand up under his chin and was chit chatting with his daddy. It was so cute!
Up next day two in Prescott!
