More Birthday

On Liam's birthday we went to the airport to pick up G&G Casson.  We all laid around the house and watched Liam play (they had a red eye flight and I had to go to work that night).  Here is Liam reading with his grandpa.
Once Chris got home from work we let Liam open his presents.  He is really good at understanding the idea of opening gifts which makes me excited for Christmas!
So focused
His new guitar from Beth, Geoff, & Gavin
Then we sang "Happy Birthday"
and he ate some cake!
He did a much better job eating some than he did at his birthday party.
Today we had Liam's one year appointment.  He is 21.3 oz and 30 1/2 inches long.  He currently says Hi, mama, and dada.  He has attempted other words but no clear understanding.  He loves to show off his belly button and dance lately.  He also has been making a lot of facial expressions, especially his scrunchy face.  I'll try and find a picture soon.  He loves to climb on everything, enjoys reading his books, loves his stuffed dog Goldie, plays with any type of ball, and he still likes his walker.  He enjoys eating avocado, grapes, strawberries, peas, cheese, chicken nuggets, and bread.  He has 12 teeth now and is still working on a couple. Liam sleeps through the night here and there, but not consistently.  He LOVES to go outside and play.  He also likes finding sticks to pick up and walk around with.  He is an absolute joy and so much fun at this age.

He's so dang cute, and his hair always makes me think he's older than Neely, because he looks like such a big boy. Also, we were JUST looking at that book Uncle Junebug is reading to Liam, for Neely for Christmas. It's called Jingle right? Does he like it? Neely got all excited when she saw it in the store and since she's all into books we thought we'd get it for her. Should we?

Yeah, he seems to enjoy the book and the dog. Although at first when it would bark he thought it was me! Ha! It is super cute though :)
