Last Sunday we went apple picking in Winchester, VA, which is about an hour from where we live. The Hamadis told us about this place a while ago and we were going to go back in July but rain interfered with our plans. I actually had no idea we were going Chris told me to just be ready by a certain time. He told me it was part of my birthday present. I ended up figuring it out before we left the house though.

They had a huge play area for the kids and Liam was in heaven.
This little guy just slept the whole time except to eat.
When you go to pick your apples you just buy a bag in one of three sizes and they give you a map of the orchard, which specifies which types of apples are grown in each row, and go you pick which ones you want. It was pretty neat.

Laith and Ghani, Laith didn't wait around to start eating an apple :)
Daddy holding Liam way up high to pick an apple.
After Liam had a few apples in our bag he took off with it down the path
Mom had to catch up with him and make sure he didn't get too far.
Laith enjoyed walking and eating his apple. I love this picture of him.
Liam decided to be pushed in the stroller while he ate his apple

Laith decided to take a few small bites out of a few of the apples. He was taste-testing them. Liam watched while he still ate his apple.

It was an absolutely PERFECT day for apple picking and a really nice little area. Afterwards we all went to and Italian food restaurant that Maggie and Ghani recommended. They were correct it was delicious and we ate way too much food! It was a great day!
