This weekend was fairly busy. The weather has been so nice that we played at the park Saturday morning with the boys. They had fun.
Colin showing of his hanging skills (he did hang even though in this picture his feet our touching)
This boy went across the monkey bars
We tried to get the boys down for naps early because they had Minuet's superhero birthday to attend. G&G Casson came and stayed with Colin while he finished his nap so he showed up fashionably late to the party. He was in rare form Saturday morning. It was the worst we have ever seen him. Seriously out of character for him. He had multiple breakdowns before noon so we felt he should sleep as long as he could.
Liam didn't want to wear his superhero costume at first but once we arrived and he saw all the other kiddos (particularly Cason as Spiderman) he was perfectly happy to put it on.
The birthday party was at the gym where the boys do bootcamp and Anna kept them moving.
There was a scavenger hunt which threw some of the younger kiddos off a little because they expected to keep the toys and knick-knacks they were scavenging. There were a couple of breakdowns.
The boys had a great time and I think Minuet had a great birthday. My attempts at getting a picture of her turned out blurred but she was a cute little batgirl.
Chris and I had talked about getting the boys a tee so they could learn to hit. We bought it on Friday and Liam has been LOVING it. It has also caused some fights since Colin doesn't quite understand turn-taking yet but we'll get there. Here is Liam in action.
Here are a couple videos for your enjoyment
Colin's turn
and a hit!
Sunday was Chris' 32nd Birthday. The boys and I gave him his gifts that morning and then Colin and I went and bought him a Chorizo burrito for breakfast. Once we were all up and around we took the boys to the park again. They ran in the grass with daddy and here they are playing ring around the rosies.
and they did some running
Later that night we went to G&G Casson's for a birthday dinner. Liam was more than excited to let daddy see the spiderman icecream cake he picked out.
and we sang
Colin pretty much blew out the candles before we finished the song, ha!
I think overall he had a great birthday except that I didn't give him the baby he was hoping for. Apparently, this little mister or miss doesn't want to share a birthday :)
