Air and Space, Capitol, and Library of Congress

Thursday morning we weren't really sure what we wanted to do so we ended up going to the Air and Space Museum to start.

After the Air and Space Museum we walked up toward the Capitol. 

Liam made friends with some squirrels.  He thought they were pretty cool.

The Library of Congress was one stop we weren't going to miss.  It is one of our favorite buildings.  Chris repeatedly renewed our parking via a phone app but couldn't the last time around.  So he and Liam ended up sprinting back to the car hoping to get there before it got towed.  It was nearly a full mile from the Library of Congress to where the car was parked just beyond the Air and Space Museum, and Liam walked ran about two-thirds of it before he needed to be carried.  It turns out the parking lane we were in turns into a traffic lane at 4:00 PM!  Luckily we had not been towed or hit since Chris got to it at about 4:15!

When we left we headed to Shirlington to meet up with one of my friends Christina and her kiddos.  We were twice pregnant together while working together (her with Lyla and then Caleb, and me with Liam and then Colin).  It was so great seeing her and her kiddos and it's just crazy how fast time goes and how quickly our babies have grown.

Then it was off to Guapos!  We loved to come here for our Mexican food and of course Margarita fix.  They even sang to Chris and Amelia for their birthdays!

The Hamadis joined us also for dinner.  It was so nice and the kids were so well behaved all playing and talking together.  Our little group!

It was a wonderful day!
