Gettysburg

Tuesday morning we drove to Gettysburg and arrived around lunch time.  We went and ate at the Farnsworth House.

After lunch we decided to walk into downtown Gettysburg, and we thought Grandma Mollie would really enjoy one of the museums and the train station but it turns out most things are closed on Tuesdays in Gettysburg.  Who would have thought!
So instead we took a picture outside the museum.

This gal had a burst of energy and was running down the sidewalks of Gettysburg and jumping off the stairs.
We did find a little shop that was open and went inside, where Liam signed the guest book.
We decided since most everything was closed to head to the visitors center and see if we could catch a bus tour but that didn't work either, because they were sold out.  So we did the tour of visitors center and decided to drive around the battlefields and do our own tour.

Amelia's pose in this one cracks me up!
I really wanted to go to the tower in Gettysburg because the view from the top is AMAZING.
It's about a 1,000 stairs to the top.  The boys joined us.  Amelia stayed back with Grandma and Mindy and Randy.

Once it was dusk, we decided to head to the hotel and grab some food.  Chris and I ordered take-out with the kids since it was such a long day and the rest of the adults went out.  It was a great day.
