October 7th we made our big trip to Virginia! I have been wanting to go back for sometime and we finally made it happen. Liam had to miss a week of school but it was completely worth it! The kids went with G&G Casson to Vegas the night before our flight and stayed the night in a hotel room and Chris and I drove up early morning the day of our flight because we had a co-ed volleyball game, ha! The kids did amazing on the flight and it was so nice. We got into Richmond Friday evening and went straight to Aunt Mindy's house. The Ives met up with us there and the kids all met each other again and had a good time getting to know each other and play.
Brady, Anderson, Liam, and Colin
They all went and checked out Stormie and Beauty the miniature horses and Neapolitan the goat. They played on the swing set and even a little basketball.
That night we all ate some thanks to Mindy being an amazing host and crashed pretty early. The next day was rainy so we decided the Children's Museum would be a great place to start our day.
Picking apples off the tree
Hatching from a dinosaur egg
3 boys hatching
Colin LOVED the water station. He spent a lot of time there [and so did Brady]
Lots of building and creating new pipes
Amelia also loved playing in the water
These two were too cute!
After the museum, both G&G's took little Amelia and Colby back to the house while the Ives and us took the big boys out a little longer. First stop was Krispy Kreme.
Colin was very please with his donut
Boys
Then we went to another Children's museum closer to Michelle and Ryan's house and we played there for a bit.
Eventually, the boys wore down. Chris and I had to make a stop at Target for diapers and then we all met up at the Ives household for pizza and visiting, The kids had a great time, especially playing with some different toys
So much fun.
It was a pretty great first day!
