Amelia is 2!!

I'm seriously not sure how on earth this day is already here!  My sweet, sassy, stubborn, active, beautiful little girl turned two.  Amelia is probably our most active kiddo.  She loves to play outside, climb on everything, and try out anything her brothers do.  She shows interest in a TV show for maybe fifteen minutes and then moves on to something new.  She is also our biggest talker at this age.  She can speak full sentences and it makes me a little bit sad.  She never really had a baby-talk stage.  One of her recent sayings is "What we doing?" or "Where we going?"  It is super cute in her little baby girl voice.
She still to have bright blonde hair that often amazes people when they see her.  She also makes sure to give lots of kisses and hugs when you leave the house in the morning and then she tries to sign "I love you" with her little hand but it is basically her just sticking a few fingers up and usually different ones.  It is the sweetest.  Amelia has been pretty terrible about eating real food lately and will constantly ask for a snack, which means something sweet.  We are hoping it is just a phase that will go away very soon!  Amelia has also mastered the fake cry with a pouty lip.  She tries to come up to Chris or me and cry about something in hopes of getting her way usually having something to do with her brothers. Unfortunately for her, we basically have her figured out so we acknowledge her and call her out on her acting and she moves on.  She loves to play with Legos, usually the larger duplo type, and has recently been picking out all the pink and purple ones as being particularly for her.  She also loves laying out a little play napkin and setting up a picnic in her room, pushing her shopping cart around, and recently filling up a purse she got and walking around with it on her shoulder.  It's super cute!
Amelia sleeps great through the night but occasionally can be difficult to get to sleep.  She has learned to pull out all the stall tactics, one more song, water, hug, etc.  She's usually asleep by 8:30 and awake by 6:45.  She continues to take a nap but it only lasts about an hour.  She had her two-year-old check up today and all is well.  She was 35 inches long and weighs 27.25lbs.  She wears a 2T and an 8.5 sized shoe!
On Sunday morning--Amelia's official birthday--I went in and sang Happy Birthday to her as soon as she awoke.  She was so excited and had the biggest grin on her face.  Then she said "happy day to me!"  I ran to the store that morning to get stuff for her party and came home with her cake and her birthday balloon.  She loved it and kept checking on her cake all day saying "my birthday"  She's the best!
We let her open her gifts from us early in the morning.
Colin may have been more excited than Amelia and was running circles around her,  this is what we caught while trying to take a picture of Amelia, ha!

New book
After she finished opening, daddy asked her if she could go find the vacuum.  She did but discovered her own vacuum.  She has been loving vacuums at the stores so of course we had to get her one.  She was a happy gal
