This weekend we went down to Richmond to celebrate Anderson's 1st Birthday! We got in late Friday night and the party was Saturday afternoon. Chris, Liam, Great Grandma, and I hung out at the house while Mindy went over to Michelle's to help with preparations. This way Liam would get a nap prior to the party. It was once again a 45-60 minute process but we survived! Then, Great Grandma treated us to lunch. We ended up picking up some Chinese food because Liam fell asleep right around the time we were all hungry, and we only had about three choices in Metropolitan Montpelier. Once he woke up we drove to the Ives' and helped with last minute party preps! Michelle put together an amazing Winnie the Pooh party. It was super cute!

Anderson wasn't all that interested in opening presents but he did enjoy chewing on this ribbon.
The birthday was wonderful and at the end of present-opening we all got a BIG surprise, the Ives are expecting baby #2! I loved the way they announced it. Chris was inside with Liam so I sent him back out so he could see the announcement too. Yay for more baby cousins!
Then Anderson enjoyed his beehive cake! He loved it!
On Sunday, Aunt Mindy made us all pancakes for breakfast and the boys played in the ball pit.
Here's a little video
Both babies were pretty exhausted so we went outside to distract them.
Aunt Mindy took everyone on a little cruise in the golf cart.
Until it broke down. Liam didn't care -- he still insisted on driving.
Eventually, we walked up the hill to the sandbox with two tired boys.
They were content and happy.
When Mindy and Chris came over to the sand box after putting the golf cart away. Mindy was sitting on the edge of the sandbox with Anderson and Liam flung sand all over both of them! Not on purpose (as far as we can tell) he just doesn't know his own strength when lifting up the shovel with sand on it. Luckily, Anderson didn't get the brunt of it! Soon after we all went home. It was a lovely weekend!
