4th of July

Yup, just a little behind but we had a wonderful 4th of July.

We went over to G&G Snay's that morning and the boys played on the splash pad and did a little slip n sliding but I failed miserably on pictures.

After naps we went to G&G Casson's for dinner and fireworks.

The most nerve wracking moment of the evening; these guys were maniacs in that pool with that big hippo-floatie.

There was some rocket launching (Styrofoam).  Uncle Chuck made a bet with the kids that if they caught it before it landed he would give them a dollar (that cost him a few bucks, by the way).

Then we sang Happy Birthday to this lovely lady.

These two had a blast in the empty pool.

Attempt at a cousin picture.  I love how Liam is all happy and cuddly as he is poking poor Reed and Colin looks like he is going to run from Reed's attack.

Then there is this one with Colin and Neely having a little moment.

Finally it was almost time for fireworks but before that some sparklers.

Chris was lighting them and could not do it fast enough for all the kiddos.

Colin was all about holding one but did reach over with the opposite hand after the flame was gone and still got a little burn on his thumb.  We felt terrible!  

All in all it was a lovely 4th of July.
