We have been going over to my parents house pretty much every Sunday and getting together for "Salsa Sunday". Basically, eating chips and salsa and whatever else my mom cooks up. It is great, because we set aside some time with each other and the boys get to play in the awesome backyard. These pictures of from a few different weekends.
The boys got to launch rockets
Doing some swimming.
Colin cuddled with grandma while she fed him strawberries.
More rocket launching
Then there were some water fights. This has to be Liam's favorite things to do lately. He really gets a kick out of getting his parents all wet (or grandma in this case).
We all soaked up a little vitamin D and dried off
Chris and I bought a bigger pool one weekend so we'd also have it for the kids on the 4th of July. They were pretty pumped and got a kick out of me spraying them with the hose.

Chilling on the splash pad
Colin really LOVES the splash pad. It really is just his size. He did a lot of running and then sliding onto the pad. He didn't really slide in the video but you get the idea.
Colin also ran around naked for a little while and played on the splash pad. He thought that was great! They also get to enjoy treats sometimes too :)
These are completely unrelated but I had to post.
One night when I came home from work these two were playing so well together! They were playing with their babies and it was the cutest.
Then they did a little biking in the garage.
Lastly, we finished four weeks of swim lessons straight through and it was great. We are taking a two week break and then hoping to jump in on the last session of the summer. Here is Colin after his swim lessons being a silly guy in the swim bag with his goggles on.

On Liam's last class the kids all got to wear life-jackets and float/kick around.
The highlight was jumping off the diving board though. I was a little worried Liam would back out but he stepped right up and LOVED it!
This was his first attempt and he went again after.
Next up the 4th of July!

1st, the pictures of the two boys and their babies is adorable! Keep that one on hand for their weddings, please.
2nd, do you have any good swim-lesson advice for me for next summer? Swim lessons scare me to death!
3rd, I woulda bet 100 bucks Liam would love that diving board. ;-)
Swim lesson advice :/ well you read our experience last summer and it was terrifying! Liam was actually apprehensive the first day but has loved it since. I just stayed right next to the pool during the lesson to make sure he was listening and have gradually stepped away. He's done great and we've been very fortunate with his instructors this summer. I bet Anderson will surprise you and we still get in with Colin :) hope all is well!!!
