Last week we took a little trip to San Diego. It was wonderful as usual. Aunt Sadie joined us on our adventure and we left early Wednesday morning. We stopped just past 29 Palms at a McDonald's and let the boys run around in the play area. When we got back in the car they were ready to go.
Sadie was like this the whole way there. Either sleeping or playing on her kindle
Once we arrived we checked into our motel and hit the beach.
Liam started out throwing balls of sand into the water.
Aunt Sadie and Colin playing in the water.
Liam excitedly pointing something out.
Sadie and Liam checking out the deeper water.
Daddy and Liam running from the waves
Colin hanging out
Eventually the boys had enough of the water and were ready to make some sandcastles.
Sadie captured this sweet family photo. Too bad it looks like Chris is falling backwards, ha!
Colin thought it was pretty awesome to have his feet buried
Silly boys
Colin was all about being covered in the sand
I love how happy Liam looks here
Colin laying down in the hole we dug. He enjoyed relaxing in it and his brother enjoyed running and jumping in it.
Sadie eventually let us bury her too.
I just like this one of Liam running along the beach
I was 27 weeks while we were at the beach. We attempted a picture of covering me in sand with just my belly out. It did not exactly turn out how we thought it would.
Our sweet angel baby number three is approx. 2lbs and 14 1/2 inches long. About the size of a head of cauliflower. We thought a beach picture would be a nice change of scenery from our front door ;)
Lastly a couple of unrelated pictures. It rained a little last week and Liam asked to play in it with his umbrella. The boys had a blast playing in the rain, especially since it is so rare.
We went to the lodge a couple weeks ago and these boys thought it was pretty cool to see this elk up close and personal. She came a lot closer than this at one point.
