Balboa Park

Before I get started the boys said a few funny things the first couple days of our trip:

1. One evening in the hotel Colin was doing something and we told him "no" and Liam said "yup, it's just what mom and dads say" HA!  Apparently we used the word no a little too much that day.

2. When we were coming back to the hotel from Legoland, Liam said he was going to rest his eyes and then closed them.  Colin immediately got so upset and said "NOOOO!" He did this more than once during the trip where he would get very upset if Liam would even attempt to rest or if I even leaned my head on the window he would yell "MAMA!" at me.

3. Another day while driving Colin was upset and Liam said to him "Okay Colin, take a deep breath" and then showed him how to breath.  It did not really work but it was nice of Liam to try :)

Saturday morning we took the boys to Balboa Park.  While Chris worked hard to find a parking space, Sadie and I watched the boys ride on this butterfly.

We walked around a little and then stopped for some ice cream cones.

Liam got his own and this was the place he had his first taste of an ice cream cone when he was 10 months old!  Hard to believe it was almost 3 years ago.

After ice cream Michael and Noel met up with us.  There was a lady making balloons and she made the boys some swords. Liam and Noel enjoyed them

We eventually made our way back to the car and the boys got a sweet ride from daddy and Noel.

We left the park and headed straight to the beach :)
